Road Race 2019

Ladies and Gents,

Despite a few set backs this week and the temporary road works at the bottom of Mardens Hill, the Bec team are confident of organising another challenging race on the hilly Ladies Mile and Crowborough loops.

There are a few changes from the regular format of this event, the most important of which is that we have had to arrange for use of a local field for rider / spectator car parking. This is because the HQ is triple booked on the morning, and there have been some concerns from locals from dodgy parking on the narrow streets around the HQ by late arriving riders.

Where possible could all riders / spectators park in the field (Rider car park - Eridge Rd, Groombridge TN3 9NH) and walk / ride the 600M to the HQ which is in the usual village hall.

For anyone who hasn't been to this race before, there are some excellent places for spectators to watch the race unfold and the number of loops means you'll see them coming past every 10 -15 minutes. The best spots being the car park at the begining of Ladies Mile, and the church of St Johns Church on the climb of Mardens Hill.
