James Hughes produced an excellent ride in the Kent CA event to record 260.2 miles (provisional) giving him 3rd place behind Michael Barnes (269.5) and Rob Pelham (267.1).
The course covered a number of loops in the area between Ashford and Rye and James rode consistently throughout the day; managing to keep something in reserve for the final few hours when he made up time on some other riders who had started fast and began to pay for their early efforts.
Clubmates kept James fed and watered during the event and afterwards, James said he was really pleased with the result, and in particular how well he had judged his effort throughout the day.
