Organiser’s comment
Thank you for entering our open 25 and congratulations to all the prize winners. Special congratulations to the McNamara brothers who were only separated by seven times winner Steve Dennis to complete the scratch podium, and to Alys Mathew who improved her personal best by over 3 minutes to take the women’s prize as well as most improved rider.
Thank you to our time keepers Mick Irons and Frank Cubis, who were ably assisted at the finish by Sam Whitehead and Ian Graver.
All time trials rely on the generosity of those who are prepared to marshal, push off, check riders complete the full course, put out and collect signs, and serve refreshments. Standing by the side of a dual carriageway for two hours is something you have to experience to understand quite how much fun it can be and my sincere thanks go to the friends and members of the Bec and members of the Surrey & Sussex VTTA group, all of whom willingly provide invaluable help. You know who you are and I am genuinely grateful for your support.
I hope to see you all again next year.
