Open 25 Cancelled due to road works

Dear riders,

With regret I have to cancel tomorrow's event, for which I apologise. Surrey County Council has installed road works with temporary lights on the A29 just north of Ockley. The lights are on a blind bend with a typical red to green phase time of around 50 seconds (see photo attached).

In my opinion the road works cause an unacceptable risk to riders.

A big thank you to Sam Dix and Mike O’Gorman for letting me know about the road works earlier today. I am really sorry to mess up everyone's weekend and thank you again for supporting our event.
