2019 Crowhurst Series, Round 2 blog post

The 2nd event of the Crowhurst Series (and the 3rd of the Bec C.C. club competition) was completed on 24th March, with much improved weather conditions greeting the four contenders (Shaun M, Mark, Tony and Sam B) as they set off for two laps of the Crowhurst course (GS/382).

Time-keeping duties were carried out excellently by our colleague Stephen. Sorry for repeating myself here, but another fast ride from Tony with a time of 33m 04s meant he took the scratch & best time by 20s, leaving him a mere 3 seconds from the existing club record! We’re sure that will go next time. Our new rider, Sam, came and had a go and put in a sterling time of 37m 25s to clinch 2nd on scratch, Shaun 3rd with 37m 49s, with Mark in 4th position knocking a good 43s off his time from the previous event, giving him 2nd on handicap again.
