Winter CLUB RUNS - Next Ride - Sunday 5th Feb 2012

Timings - Meet at 9am at Waitrose, Sanderstead (map below), ride will be 2-3 hours depending on weather.

Route - Basically Hever Castle, and surrounding lanes. Regular Route 

Pace - Group riding. There might be sprints / hills but we'll always group up afterwards.

Equipment - Puncture repair kit + pump, 1-2 water bottles, small snack (eg bannans, energy bar), Mobile Phone (recommended for emergencies).

Bletchingley Summer TT Series

This year the Bec will be running an evening TimeTrial series. Arranged around the summers longest days, the series will be a great opportunity for evening racing. The events are organised under the CTT's 'Come and Try it' regulations, so anyone can come along and ride including non members friends and family. The dates are as follow

This is the perfect opportunity for newcomers to come along and enjoy the sport, while seasoned riders can benefit from the post weekend training. Ride it fully 'Aero' or on your commuting bike, all you should be aiming for is finishing the series with faster times than you started.

Just let us know your coming (via the Contact's page). Then meet in the Plough Inn Car Park from 19:15 onwards to sign on and pay your admin / entry fee of £3.

All riders can then join us in the Plough Inn after the event, to re-energise.

The Course

The course will be the 11Mile GS/335 based in the picturesque village of Bletchingley, Surrey. The loop is on quiet roads and has a fast decent followed by three short climbs. 

Start Point - A25 junction with Waterhouse Lane. Please arrive at the plough inn car park by 19:15 to give you time to sign on with the timekeeper and collect a race number (Bags and kit can be left with timekeeper and collected at the finish) .

Route - From start continue straight on over motorway bridge (heading west). At 1.9m turn left at pub (heading South). Continue straight until at 6.4m turn left at T-Junction (heading North). Continue straight (up a few short climbs) until finish at edge of Bletchingley.
